How to get last bit of tomato sauce: Shopper’s ‘crazy’ trick to get every drop out of bottle
0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 12 Second

A man has “blown minds” over a “genius” method of getting every drop of tomato sauce out of a bottle.

Landon Romano, from the US, shared an amusing video of himself demonstrating his unusual swinging technique while holding the bottle tightly from the bottom.

The technique works because the centrifugal force will move the last remaining sauce from the bottom of the squeezy bottle towards the cap.

“I don’t remember who taught me this,” Romano said while laughing.

“I don’t know, maybe this is the thing that everyone does, or maybe this is just f****** crazy but … this blew everyone on my Instagram Story so here you go.”

Romano said he started using the technique after struggling to get the “little bit of ketchup that’s left” inside the bottle.

“If you really want to get all this, you do it like this,” he said, as he proceeded to demonstrate the amusing technique.

The video shows Romano holding the bottle from the bottom with the lid tightly closed, then spinning his arm in a circular motion at high speed for about seven seconds.

He then burst out laughing because he knew he looked funny while demonstrating the method on camera.

Romano said “I swear to god” it works as he showed viewers the impressive result.

The clip then ends with him holding the bottle upside down, showing the remaining sauce pooled in the neck.

The video of his “kitchen hack” has been viewed more than 5.1 million times — with many people saying they were keen to give his trick a go.

“I have never seen this hack, but I’m so happy I did,” one said, laughing.

‘Doing god’s work’

Another suggested: “Imagine the bottle not working in a restaurant and you just get up and start swinging it in front of everybody.”

One joked: “PLEASE I dislocated my shoulder.”

Another said: “You are doing god’s work! I can’t wait to try this.”

Yet another added: “I’m gonna do this in the middle of restaurants.”

People who had tried the method confirmed it “worked like a charm”.

“I do this! Works every time,” one said.

Another shared: “It actually works.”

One revealed: “My parents have been doing this ever since I can remember — it was so funny to me when I was little.”

Another said: “Been doing this for years.”

One person shared their experience of the trick going horribly wrong: “Did this and my house ended up looking like a scene from a horror movie.”

“Note to self, hold lid whilst windmilling ketchup bottles,” they advised.

‘Life changing’

Another shared her own technique, stating: “I did this with my pillowcase and it worked so fast! Life changing.”

Meanwhile, some people offered a simpler way to get every last bit of sauce from the bottom.

“Why not just have it standing upside-down? The ketchup should store where the cap is. Then a quick squeeze will get it out,” one said.

Another added: “I just buy the ketchup with the flat top that you can leave in the fridge upside-down, so the ketchup is always right near the mouth.”
