A recall alert has been issued for a dessert product from a popular confectionary brand due to the presence of an undeclared allergen.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) has recalled Hershey’s Caramel Syrup 623g.
The product is sold nationally at Woolworths, at Coles and IGA stores in NSW and QLD, and in SPAR stores in QLD.

According to FSANZ the product contains milk, which has not been declared.
“Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” it said.

Consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance have been urged to “not consume this product” by the food safety authority.
The product should be returned to its place of purchase for a full refund.
